Aniimo 1.1 Update: Everything in the September 23 Patch
Mobile launch, a legendary with rewritten catch rules, a weekly co-op boss mode — Aniimo's first major update, fully mapped.
Published September 24, 2026 · covering the September 23, 2026 update (version 1.1) and the September 21 official notice
Aniimo's first major update landed September 23, one week after the PC and console launch — and it is a big one. Version 1.1 brings the game to iOS and Android, opens the first seasonal arc (Windchaser's Departure), introduces the legendary Irisalis, and adds a weekly co-op boss mode (Holo-Battle Interlink). Here is everything in the update, verified against the official update notices.
Mobile launch: Aniimo on iOS and Android
Aniimo went live on mobile with this update, after maintenance on the evening of September 22. The game is now playable across Steam, PS5, Xbox and mobile with the same account ecosystem — and codes redeem identically on every platform (our codes list reflects this). Mobile players jumping in fresh should start with the beginner guide.
The Windchaser's Departure season
The first named season of Aniimo, running September 25, 10:00 through December 10 (UTC+8). Its centerpiece:
- Legendary Aniimo Irisalis, available from rank Student I for the season's duration
- Iris Petals, the seasonal collectible, gathered through exploration and story progress
- Petals craft the Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser's Departure — a 100% capture pod granting an Aniimo with Perfect Innate Potential, in Sparkling Form, carrying exclusive seasonal perks
Why Irisalis plays by completely different catch rules — no throw-repeat lottery, token collection instead — is covered in our dev letter explainer.
Holo-Battle Interlink: the weekly co-op mode
The headline gameplay addition. A weekly 4-player (or AI-filled) PvE mode simulating Alpha encounters, running Thursday 04:00 to Monday 03:59 (UTC+8), unlocked at Trailblazer I. Three routes per cycle, star ranks tracked per route, milestone rewards from combined stars, plus Support Rewards for helping other players — all resetting weekly. The full schedule and strategy: Holo-Battle Interlink guide.
Operation: Egg Heist gets Chaos Mode
The extraction mode's team variant unlocked September 24, 04:00 UTC: entry costs a Chaos Ticket, and it runs significantly higher drop rates for Prismana Aniimo Eggs and Prismatic Collectibles, with chances at ultra-rare Secret Collectibles. Official notes explicitly recommend teaming up. Since Egg Heist is the only Umbrabow source, this is now the efficiency ceiling for variant hunters — see the Egg Heist guide.
Catch system retune (the quiet big one)
Buried in the update notes, four mechanical changes with real gameplay impact:
- Prismana trigger chance is now flat — the early-game probability decay from low Prismatic Energy is gone; every nurturing has the same chance of triggering Prismana Flow, and the guarantee system remains
- Lucky strikes added to catching — item rewards, Prismatic Energy gains, and a chance to directly trigger Prismana Flow
- Wild Surges can now spawn Umbral Aniimo — Perfect Potential creatures with distinctive coloration, plus the existing rare open-world chance
- Ecosystem nurturing grants fixed Prismatic Energy — the loop is now an engine rather than a lottery
The ecosystem layer these changes touch is mapped in our Bloom & Nurture guide, and the variant taxonomy (Prismana vs Umbral vs Umbrabows) in the Prismana guide.
